King of the world

I was driving down the road today listening to the radio. A song came on that has been on before. Each and every time I’ve heard it, I’m reminded of how small I am and how Big God is.

How often do I want and try to control things happening in my life? Why is it so hard for me to remember who’s in charge and has complete control and reign over me and everything? He is the Lord Most High, Creator of heaven and earth.

Psalm 148:5
Let every created thing give praise to the Lord, for He issued His command, and they came into being.

Isaiah 42:5
God, the Lord, created the heavens and stretched them out. He created the earth and everything in it. He gives breath and life to everyone in all the world.

Isaiah 45:12
“I am the one who created the earth and created people to live on it. With my hands I stretched out the heavens.”

Colossians 1:16-17
Christ is the one from whom God created everything in heaven and earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see – kings, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities. Everything has been created through Him and for Him. He existed before everything else began, and He holds all creation together.

God is our Creator. He made you and me and everything else. God wants us to surrender and give control back to Him. He’s in charge! He’s our King! Let go and let God rule your life.

These are a few of the lines from the song I heard on the radio by Natalie Grant.

“King of the World”
‘When did I forget that you’ve always been the King of the world? I try to take life back right out of the hands of the King of the world. How could I make you so small when you’re the one who holds it all?’

Psalm 47:2
For the Lord Most High is awesome. He is the great King over all the earth.
