Do you always feel like you do the same ole thing all the time? You get up, go to your job, and/or take care of kids, feed everyone, do laundry, clean house, go to bed. Then you get up and do the same thing all over again. I know I’ve felt that way at times.
All of this is important and needs to get done, but you need to remember to take time to focus on God. He is the only one who will bring you true satisfaction and joy in your everyday life. Even when the little things don’t seem quite so meaningful, God has planned and purposed even the smallest parts. Start your day right! Set aside time in the morning just you and God. The rest of your day will fall right into place and you’ll be prepared and ready for your day to come.
Satisfy us each morning with your unfailing love, so we may sing for joy to the end of our lives.
A little thankfulness goes a long way. Be happy with what God has blessed you with. He does more than we can even see or understand.
It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to the Most High.
Also, maybe try a new hobby or get a hobby if you don’t have one. I’ve recently started reading more books. I’ve never been too much of a book reader. Mostly I search specific topics online and read a lot of blogs, but I’ve heard that successful and/or wealthy people make time to read at least one book a month. So, here I am. It’s been a very good experience and I’m learning a lot along the way.
And then, maybe consider doing something a little different. Go somewhere you haven’t been in a while or you’ve never been. I was finally able to go back to the beach today with my three children. We live within miles of the beach and don’t nearly go enough. We went several weeks ago, but it’s rained every day since. We took our chance while the sun was out and had a great time! Plus, it doesn’t cost anything besides the gas to get there. I love activities that cost nothing at all! They’re my favorite!
So for a little recap: God first, be thankful to God, try a hobby, and do something different! You’ll get a little pep in your step!
