When was the last time you looked around and thought, “Wow, look at all God has made! And, look at what He is doing all around me?” Have you been in awe of all His wonders?
I think of children when they look around them and see a butterfly or a flower and it grabs their attention and excites them. It doesn’t take much for them to see the magnificence in something.
What is your attention focused on? What gets you excited? Can a small encounter with God’s creation bring that out of you? Can you remember the last time you saw creation with the eyes of a child? Let me say this – When was the last time you witnessed a miracle? Do you remember? Have you ever? Sometimes, we are so focused on our own lives and our own circumstances that we miss it completely. It happened right in front of us and we completely missed it! How sad.
I encourage you today to look around you and purposely find something that God has made or God has done. Be in awe of Him for all He is and all He does. Praise the Lord all the earth!
To Him who alone does great wonders, for His steadfast love endures forever.
“Look among the nations, and see; wonder and be astounded. For I am doing a work in your days that you would not believe if told.”
I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.
